How to learn fast or learn quickly – It is a fundamental question for all the students studying at present.
“The capacity to learn is a gift: The ability to learn is a skill: The willingness to learn is a choice.” ~ Brian Herbert, an American Author. Learning is probably the most important thing in our life. Some people learn faster, whereas some are comparatively slower. Fast and quick learning can help you in life. In exams like JEE & NEET, the time for preparation is not enough. But people who know how they can absorb the entire syllabus quickly can make it through. Some people are born with skills, while some need to polish theirs if they want to succeed. So here are some tips & tricks on how you can become a fast learner:
If you are finding something hard to learn, you need to keep trying for a few days. It’s a scientifically proven fact that the brain only retains what it thinks is important and throws the rest out. If you keep on revising the same thing, again and again, every day, your brain would know that it is essential and would retain it.
TAKE PROPER REST INTERVALS
Your mind can only digest a few chunks of information at a time. If you overfeed your mind, it will throw up excessive information, and you’ll have to do all the hard work again. There’s no telling what the perfect time to take a break is. Every person has different endurance. Some people can sit and learn for 5 hours straight, while others can only go as long as 30 minutes. Try to find your breaking point and work accordingly.
SAY IT BACK
Try to speak aloud what you’re trying to learn instead of reading it in your mind. This can speed up the process of learning. Since you are saying the information out loud, your brain will retain it easily.Keep your body happy to make your brain happy!
SLEEP & EXERCISE
What goes in your brain is largely defined by your physical health. If your body is healthy and fit, your brain will automatically function better. Going to bed early and waking up at dawn is an excellent practice to follow. Exercise at least 5 times a week and also eat healthily.
FIND YOUR INTERESTS
“You have power over your mind—not outside events. Realize this, and you will find strength.” ~ Marcus Aurelius, Great Roman Emperor. If you do what you like, you’ll have no trouble doing it. Likewise, if you want to study science and maths, you’ll have no problem preparing for JEE/NEET. If you don’t, then you need to ask yourself some questions.
